Kamal Marafa is currently an airline pilot at ValueJet Airline in Nigeria. A proud graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Daytona Beach Florida, he was inspired to pursue a career in aviation. Kamal’s aviation journey began in January 2015, and by April 2017, he had achieved his dream of becoming an Airline Transport pilot. His dedication to aviation led him to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Daytona Beach Florida, a decision he considers pivotal due to the institution’s esteemed reputation as the best aeronautical university in the world. Kamal’s expertise extends beyond piloting aircraft; he has excelled as a flight instructor, an FAA Part 141 check airman, team manager, and standards instructor at Phoenix East Aviation, one of the best flight schools in the United States. His commitment to excellence is evident in his training of over 100 pilots worldwide, significantly contributing to the aviation community’s growth and safety. Having worked with Air Wisconsin Airlines, one of the United States’ premier regional airlines, Kamal

gained valuable experience and was type-rated on the CRJ200. In February 2022, he returned to Nigeria, where he continues to excel as an airline pilot. With over 3000 flight hours and more than 1500 hours of flight instruction, and over 7 years of experience in the Aviation industry Kamal currently operates as a pilot for ValueJet Airline, flying the CRJ900 and showcasing his expertise in handling advanced aircraft. Kamal’s story is one of dedication, perseverance, and a deep-rooted passion for aviation. His contributions to the industry, along with his unwavering commitment to safety and excellence, serve as an inspiration to aspiring pilots worldwide.
